[10-13-04] - Adult Swim
Adult Swim > John Kerry > George W. Bush
That is all.
[04-19-04] - A day in the life
This is for all you modern-day bloggers out there -- and I think I know who you are.
8:45am - Get up, get ready for school, walk in to Olsson.
10:00am - Go to Programming Languages (PL). I presented/answered questions on multiple
inheritance and garbage collection, and sat through a few other questions
answered by another student, and finally talked to my other group
members about meeting for our PL project.
12:00pm - Go to lunch with Pete and Jeremy. We went to the Biltmore, and ate
outside. It really is nice to be able to eat outside in mid-April, but
actually we were out in the sun, and it was really to hot to be confortable.
Also, I got stung by a wasp, which added to the annoyance. (And, of
course, ended up being sunburned).
2:00pm - Worked on the OS project with Pete, figuring out what code I'm
actually going to get from him
3:30pm - Went to the Colloquim of the faculty candidate. Not a bad talk,
but not really great. It was a graphics/VR talk, which isn't my area,
but I really wasn't "wowed" in any way.
5:00pm - Bridge with Pete, Greg and Noble. I played opposit Noble,
and did alright - its always a learning experience playing with
Greg and Noble.
7:00pm - PL meeting talked about what we wanted to do, and how difficult
it will be to implement that
8:00pm - Go home, with the intention of going to the grocery store. . .
8:30pm - Go to dinner with Cliff and Julie, at Christians on the mall.
Not a bad pizza place, but not great. enjoyed the evening a bit afterwords
9:45pm - More Bridge, with Noble Jeremy and someone I don't know.
11:00pm - Research. I started created a resonable system for dealing with
the x86 prefixs, as they really aren't being handled by strata.
12:00am - Go home, work on OS project some
2:30am - Go to bed.
[11-18-03] - Harebrained
Not all problems can be solved with thought. Sometimes action is
required.
[11-01-03] - Success
C# - VS.NET - IIS: The Mircosoft triumvirate is now resident in my
humble Thinkpad Kant. I wish there was a way for me to express the
fear that consumes me as a result of this development.
[28-06-03] - Up-to-date
[06-05-03] - Distractions
Obviously this site has changed. I honestly don't think it will be
"fixed" anytime soon, but you never know. The world wide web is far
too distracting, and I've been up to my nose in distractions lately.
Plus there's the spectre of this page spiralling into the status of
hated blog. Like more noble
people than I who are are avoiding the inevitable cell phone, I am
avoiding the inevitable blog. Perhaps I will resurrect the Q&A
page even though there are so many Q's and so few A's.
I was playing the new
Zelda tonight when it sent me on a subquest. I
started in on the subquest without thinking, until I releazed that
video game subquests are probably the reason I can waste a half day
of work trying to get the perfect xemacs custom.el file, and why I
nothing ever seems to get done. Distracting me from my distractions. [Dan]
